LOOK OUT FOR FESTIVAL RUN IN NEAR FUTURE!

Get to Know the Project

The Journey:
I conceived Downtown Disarray in January 2024 in a short film screenwriting class at SCAD. From there on, I honed the script and learned that this would be my senior thesis. The sheer scale of this student film is unthinkable for many, but with my passion and confidence in my team, I knew we could get it done. Downtown Disarray is a Western that takes place in Savannah, Georgia. Some have coined it a "Sweastern," and others doubted that students could even make a film that is so logistics-heavy. Well, we did it; we made it happen with active fundraising since August 2024, pop-up events, custom stickers, video promos, fiscal sponsorship, and more. All culminating in raising the necessary funds and executing the scale of this project with justice to the story. Now, in post-production, we're excited to bring Downtown Disarray to festivals soon!

Social Media

The Downtown Disarray team connected with the local community through social media. This built awareness and excitement for the film. Showing transparency and everything we have done to prepare for the film has left our audience eager to see the final product.
Downtown Disarray also utilized stickers and merchandise to create buzz. This also accounted for an additional revenue stream that helped fund the film. Now you can see Downtown Disarray stickers all across the SCAD community.

Promotional Videos
Showcased across our social media platforms, these promo videos recreated iconic scenes from classic westerns, like The Good, the Bad and The Ugly, The Rifleman, and Once Upon a Time in the West. These served as a creative way to engage our community and promote the film across all generations.
Shortly after releasing these short promos we saw an uptick in engagement and recognition of Downtown Disarray.
