LOGLINE
"When a young high school soccer player can’t help but be a pushover, he is suddenly forced into a brief moment of violence and assertiveness after he is unexpectedly attacked by his shampoo bottle."
SYNOPSIS
"Shampoo is a dark comedy short film that blends absurdity with high-stakes action. After a high school soccer player named Winston smack-talks his coach to a bottle of shampoo while showering, he is suddenly thrown into a chaotic, slapstick brawl with the bottle itself. What starts as a typical morning routine after practice quickly spirals into a wildly destructive showdown, all triggered by the wrong hair care product. Stylish, fast-paced, and delightfully unhinged, Shampoo delivers unforgettable visuals and over-the-top physical comedy with tongue-in-cheek flair."

HISTORY
Shampoo is a senior thesis Written and Directed by Owen Johnson. Owen is my roommate of four years and one of my closest friends. When he asked if I could 1st AD his thesis, I was honored and delighted. It was my first time Assistant Directing and Owen had tasked me with getting him fifty shots in two days! By the end of it, we got everything he needed and then some. It was an incredible learning experience and I am very happy I had the privilege of working on such an incredible film. A film which is being directly funded by SCAD for a festival run later this year.
